Himeji, Kansai neo-crust : Sekien

IMG_4573

Sekien, served a fine d-beat/neo-crust from Himeji, Kansai. Consists of 3 members and sounded like a crust band from Spanish, Ekkaia. A swift but powerful reminder of why straight up crust is great; it’s short and furious and a raw songs that waste no time in getting you to a better state of mind. They gave a songs that tight and fast with many memorable riffs and killer beats fills with super kill on vocal.

Sekien has released a few stuff since 2013. They’ve released a demo in 2013. Later, a 7′ inch in 2014 and latest was in March 2016, a self-titled album. For the next release is the s/t album in format of cassette with co-release with Japan label; Longlegslongarms Records.

They also have put their name in a lot of shows all over Japan. A few months before they have been touring along together with Khmer, blackened crust from Spanish.

If you like some kind of music that served fast and bloody as hell with a twist or three to keep the music interesting, this is one to be recommended.

LION CITY NEO-CRUST: ADHÄRA

adara

Hailing from Singapore, Adhära is a 4-piece neo-crust outfit. Formed in February 2014, this band just released their first self-titled EP in April. Being highly influence with poetry and social issues, this band channels their anger through their songs. Adhära is highly recommended for anyone who’s into neo-crust especially fans of Alpinist, Madame Germen, GERANIÜM and Ekkaia.
